"A
home should be a safe haven, not a dangerous hazard."
Chiang Rai Province frequently faces fire incidents... The
primary cause is deteriorated and outdated electrical wiring and breakers in
homes, leading to short circuits and subsequent fires. This highlights the
realization that "home," which should be a safe place, has become a
dangerous hazard.
Therefore, Chiang Rai Provincial Red Cross Chapter has
initiated "Red Cross Chapter Cares: Electrical Wiring Replacement for Fire
Prevention 2025" project to assist elderly, low-income, and
underprivileged families in having safe homes and reducing the risk of fire
incidents.
Surveys have revealed that 289 households across 18 districts in Chiang Rai Province are still using deteriorated and old wiring, which can cause short circuits at any time. This project is not just about replacing wiring; it's about building safety and preventing repeated losses.
