The Phayao Provincial Red Cross Office has implemented the "Electrical Wiring Replacement for Low-Income Households" project for the second year to reduce the problem of fires in Phayao Province. According to a survey conducted between 2020 and 2022, there were 61 house fires in the province, most of which were caused by electrical short circuits. This is especially a problem for the homes of underprivileged people, people with disabilities, and bedridden patients, whose electrical wiring is often old and damaged due to being over 10 years old.
Recognizing the importance of this problem, the Phayao Provincial Red Cross Office has partnered with the following organizations to carry out the project:
The project will replace the electrical wiring of 90 homes (10 homes per district) belonging to underprivileged people in Phayao Province.
Project Budget
1. Cost of materials and equipment for replacing electrical wiring and connecting devices: 720,000 baht
o (8,000 baht per house, for a total of 90 houses)
2. Compensation for students for replacing electrical wiring: 180,000 baht
o (2,000 baht per house, for a total of 90 houses)
3. Cost of fuel, office supplies, and other expenses: 30,000 baht
Total budget: 930,000 baht
Expected Benefits
1. Low-income people, underprivileged people, disabled families, and bedridden patients in Phayao Province will have a better quality of life and be safer from fires caused by electrical short circuits.
2. Government agencies, state enterprises, and the public will be able to work together to improve the quality of life for people in Phayao Province.
3. Students will be able to use the skills and knowledge they have gained from their studies to help people in their own province.
